Whitening or Polishing: The brown rice is then whitened or polished to remove the bran layer and improve appearance. Length Grader: Grading machines are used to separate rice grains by length. Color Sorter: Optical sorting machines are used to remove defective grains based on color or shape.

  • Drying Section: Once milled, the rice needs to be dried to reduce its moisture content to safe levels for storage and to prevent spoilage. The drying section typically includes: Dryer: Uses hot air to dry the rice. Types of dryers can include batch dryers or continuous flow dryers. Heat Source: Burners or heaters provide the heat necessary for drying.

  • Storage and Packaging: The dried and processed rice is stored in silos or bins before packaging. Packaging machines fill and seal rice into bags or containers for distribution.

  • Utilities: Supporting components such as conveyors, elevators, and dust collection systems ensure smooth operation and maintain cleanliness throughout the plant.
